I remember when I was growing up, my paternal grandmother had a ring with each of her six children's birthdstones on it. While the style was nothing special, the concept has always stayed with me. When James Avery came out with their 'Remberance rings' I was so excited because I like the look of smaller rings worn together. This morning my 3 sweet little boys came running excitedly into our room each carrying a ring. While the twins were happy to give me their rings, Peyton wasn't so willing to give his up! Parker & Pierce were born in July, so for them I have a ruby. Peyton came along in February, the month represented by amethyst. I wanted an odd number because I think that looks best, so I also have the blue topaz, the stone for mine and Scott's December birthdays.
After starting our morning off with the rings, cards, hugs and kisses, we got dressed and went to church. The children's choir put on a play which was darling. Once we got home, Mom and Dad joined us for brunch. Scott and Dad cleaned up the kitchen and we got to visit. We gave Mom the in-styler curling iron and a gift card to Ulta. I can't wait to see how she likes it! Once Peyton went down for a nap, Mom and I snuck away and did a little shopping.
