We love books!

One of the most rewarding things in my life is teaching children to read. It is so wonderful to see their eyes light up when they have figured out a word, or completed an entire book all by themselves. I'm so fortunate that I get to do this every day at school with my first graders. You can only imagine how tickled I get when my own children are so excited about books and literature. Tonight I caught the boys in their room reading books and talking about what they were seeing with each other. I couldn't help but stand at the door and listen! I find myself overjoyed by their love of books and hope it continues to grow as they get older...

Halloween Mantle

Mom found these adorable Halloween stockings for the boys. Now they are anxiously waiting for their goodies to appear...

Our new baby cousin...

and his mommy came for a visit this week! Peyton loves babies, especially Rory. He wanted to hold him so Granlyn helped him out a bit. Unfortunately, some of us have been under the weather and haven't been able to spend as much time as we'd like with Rach and Rory, but lucky for us they are here for the whole week!

Witchin Tassels

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I love decorating with all of the different fall colors. While witches and skulls are not among my Halloween favs, I found her at Michael's and thought she is too cute to pass up!

Dental Hygiene

All 3 of our boys are very good about brushing their teeth regularly, but we have one who is particularly obsessed with making sure all of his 'sugar bugs' are 'gone-gone!'

Peyton is such a ham! Scott thinks he will be a comedian when he grows up because he is such a character. He keeps us all laughing...what a true blessing he is to our family!
